    This was inevitable, eventually, once the slow reversal of the Marples (Beeching) closures started. Careful reading suggests that inter-operation of a new/revived service & that of the “East Lancs Railway” is entirely possible, provided the money can be found.
    As someone who was on the last Accrington – Bury train train, I do hope this succeeds.
