Amazon launches more e-cargo bike hubs in London & Manchester (FutureTransport)

Amazon has expanded its UK e-cargo bike fleet with the launch of three additional micromobility delivery hubs in Manchester and London. This launch is part of a five-year investment of over 1 billion EUR (866 million GBP) in the electrification and decarbonisation of Amazon’s European transportation network, with approximately 300 million GBP being invested in the UK.

The company’s micromobility vehicles are expected to make more than two million deliveries a year in the UK, with plans to roll out additional hubs in the near future. Amazon opened these latest hubs in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, allowing the company to deliver its packages efficiently during this busy shopping period and the run up to Christmas.

The hubs join Amazon’s existing central London e-cargo bike fleet, which was announced in July this year.
