  1. Let’s hear it for the proposed Mersyrail battery ( Presumably with “charging” at the endpoints? ) trains.
    Definitely the way to go, much better than hydrogen-vapour-ware.
    It is to be hoped that this will be replicated elsewhere, as is already proposed/under construction in the S. Welsh valleys.
    Could be a complete game-changer for rail transport.

    UNLESS you made an environmentally-friendly decision in 2003 to buy ONE car & just keep it ……
    No new car-build pollution, extended life of existing assets & so on ….
