  1. The tail-end of the Railway News / COP26 article is a foreshadowing of something in today’s news:
    That HS2/2 ( On to Leeds ) & HS Trans-Pennine will not happen & ( I think ) that further electrification of one of the least-electrified systems in Europe, will not be proceeding apace.
    Very “green” & environmentally-friendly it will not be.
    Vast amounts of talk & almost zero action.
