  1. Ther is nothing surprising about the ‘Railways being a national matter. This is the same phenomenon as a large percentage of people never leaving their home town except perhaps for a holiday or hospital visit. Many people have all their friends and family live in the same vicinity as themselves. You will find the same thing happening on whatever scale you choose to look.
