  1. For anyone about to renew their Railcard, the 33%-off Trainline offer mentioned in the first article (more of a rehashed Trainline press release..) is a pretty good deal – just paid £47 rather than £70 for my new 3-year Senior Railcard. Offer expires at the end of August but limited to 400K takeup, so maybe worth applying soon if you want one? Although the card is digital and tied to the Trainline app you don’t have to buy Trainline tickets to use it, and moving the card to another (or multiple) devices is easier than with the normal Railcard app. Arguably more costly than £10 annuals with Tesco Clubcard points, but not if you don’t have enough points!

  2. @B&T You just need to remember to enter “SUMMER33” at the right point. A new Network Card I was going to buy anyway for £20!
